BRILLIANT TRACES Comes to The Stone Cottage

An isolated cabin, the Alaskan wilderness, a dangerous blizzard - join us inside Henry Harry's cabin to ride out a super storm as a mysterious visitor suddenly arrives- Rosannah DeLuce, a runaway bride. As Henry attempts to solve the mystery of how this half-frozen bride has come to interrupt his life of solitude, they both fight to make peace with the traumatic losses of their own Brilliant Traces- the ties that bind us to the people who have shaped our identities. Alternately repelling and connecting with each other, Rosannah & Henry explore their pasts and, in time, consider the possibilities of their present.

This newly conceived production of Cindy Lou Johnsons play, Brilliant Traces, is co-produced by Funkytown Arts Festival at the Addison Theatre Centre's Stone Cottage venue. Expect a rollercoaster ride filled with comic moments and more than a dose of quirkiness as a pair of evenly matched oddball characters find themselves snowed into a cabin with potentially explosive results.

First presented by New York's Circle Repertory Company, this richly imaginative absurdist allegorical play uses fantastic and often outlandish situations to probe into the nature of human relationships. "BRILLIANT TRACES is kooky, weird and definitely off-kilter, but if taken in the right spirit, illuminating about how we live today." (BackStage). "deals with common issues of love and family, and does so with characters, story and dialogue so fantastic that they could exist only within the enchanted realm of the stage." (NY Times).

Brilliant Traces", starring Elizabeth Kensek* & Van Quattro, and directed by Emily Scott Banks* runs from November 23rd through December 2nd at the Addison Theatre Centre's Stone Cottage location.
