Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated Disney film, this musical is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea", Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World".

Founded in 2001, this local community theatre company has produced quality musical theatre experiences at affordable prices in the Kent Community. This theatre is a federal 501C3 non-profit theatre, who has raised over $300,000 in scholarship money for the main stage performers, many who are not working professionally in Seattle, New York, and all over the world.

ART is also committed to Arts Education and with the budget issues faced in our school system, ART is stepping up to provide children (Pre-K through grade 8) training in singing, dancing, acting and technical theatre. Camps run July 16th through August 11th.

Jennifer Grajewski, resident Artistic Director and Founder of ART has lived and worked in the Kent Community and has been directing for 38 years. She is passionate about the role of the arts in our lives and what it can and does provide. Local professional actors, choreographers, vocal directors and other work closely with our program to provide a high quality artistic experience.
