A studio recording of the Broadway musical Anna Karenina, featuring some of Broadway's brightest, is now available.

Featuring new orchestration by composer Daniel Levine, and a full forty-eight-piece orchestra including strings from the New York Philharmonic, Anna Karenina features Tony-nominees Melissa Errico (Amour) and Gregg Edelman (Wonderful Town), both of whom were in the original Broadway production, as well as Tony Award-nominee Brian D'Arcy James (The Apple Tree), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), Marc Kudisch (The Apple Tree) and Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown).

Available from LML Music, Anna Karenina was released on August 7th and is available in stores and from such websites as Amazon.com.  Based on the sprawling novel by Leo Tolstoy about a Russian love triangle and its tragic consequences, Anna Karenina features music by Levine and book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg.  The musical ran on Broadway at Circle in the Square Theatre from August 26th, 1992 through October 4th, 1992.  Ann Crumb starred in the title role, with Errico as Kitty and Edelman as Constantin.

The recording stars Errico as Anna, Edelman as Constantin, D'Arcy James as Vronsky, McCarthy as Karenin, Kudisch as Oblonsky and Butler as Kitty.
