Amber Martin to Star as Reba McEntire In Holiday Show at Stonewall Inn

Amber Martin will perform her loving parody of an imagined Reba McEntire lounge act for three nights only at Stonewall Inn in December. One of the most versatile chameleons in New York, Amber channels Reba in what has become a beloved character in the performer's colorful repertoire and has even received the country star's wholehearted blessing. Along with adults-only holiday madness, Amber will sing Reba hits and banter with special guest stars from the downtown music and cabaret scene.

Special guests include Angela DiCarlo, David Ilku, Randy Jones, Nath Ann Carrera & Patrick Johnson. The performances are December 13th, 19th and 21st at 7PM. Stonewall Inn is located at 53 Christopher Street in Greenwich Village. Tickets are $15 at eventbrite. Seating is limited.

Amber's version of Reba began at a party 13 years ago as a stoner joke, when a Rosanne Cash record began to skip. Amber just began talking like Reba and everyone in the room convulsed with laughter. She then developed a short video, Queen of Reba, and the rest is history. Amber had been crushing on Reba since childhood and had developed her character for her own amusement. After the video, she created a full act which she has performed at Joe's Pub and celebrity and corporate events. Amber has also performed as Reba on Celebrity Apprentice twice which Joan Rivers saw who then invited her to open for her live solo shows. Amber also performed as Reba for Mayor Bill Di Blasio at an all-star benefit at the Cutting Room.

Amber Martin is one of New York's most beloved cabaret stars with a soulful voice that has been compared to Janis Joplin & Edith Piaf. Her impeccable comic timing is as famous as her enormous vocal range and Sandra Bernhard has said it's reminiscent of Lucille Ball. She performs regularly at Joe's Pub and curates a Monday night performance series at Sid Gold's Request Room called the Amber Zone. Amber also developed a Bette Midler homage act called Bath House Better that has toured and requires guests to attend wearing only towels or less. She works frequently for celebrity and corporate events and recently put out her first LP, A.M. GOLD which is available on ITunes. She has acted in film, TV & Broadway and will soon go on tour throughout the south in January.
