Amanda Watkins will round out the cast of the upcoming musical Slut, which will run from September 13th through November 13th at off-Broadway's American Theatre of Actors (314 W. 54th St.); opening night is set for October 1st.

Watkins joins Jenn Colella (Urban Cowboy), Mary Faber (Hair and Chess concerts), Harriett D. Foy, Andy Karl (Altar Boyz), David Josefsberg (Grease), Jim Stanek (Little Women) and Kevin Pariseau (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) in the provocatively-titled (and themed) show, which is written by Stephen Sislen and Ben H. Winters.  Slut will be staged by Gordon Greenberg (The Baker's Wife at Paper Mill Playhouse) and presented by James Hammerstein Productions.  The design team includes Beowulf Boritt (sets) and Annie Kennedy (costumes),

When Slut played the New York International Fringe Festival in 2003, it earned the distinction of being the first show to sell out its run before the Festival opened.  According to production notes, Slut tells the free-wheeling story of  "Adam, a single dude on a life-long quest for one night stands; his best friend, the brilliant Doctor Dan; and the sexy rocker Delia who comes between them. Set in the East Village and around the world, this highly improbable, irreverent adventure comes with singing, dancing, partying, and raspberry margaritas."

Watkins has a Broadway resumé of replacement appearances in Urinetown, the revivals of Cabaret and Grease, Beauty and the Beast and Cats.  She starred opposite Robert Goulet in a national tour of South Pacific, and also appeared in tours of Cabaret and Oklahoma!  Regionally, she has starred in The Sound of Music, Damn Yankees, Can Can and Schmidt and Jones' Mirette.

Slut's performance schedule is Tuesday-Friday evenings at 8 PM, Saturdays at 4 and 8 PM and Sundays at 3 and 7 PM. Tickets, which are $55, can be purchased by calling (212) 239-6200.
