Always Wanted to Defy Gravity? WICKED Holding Open Casting Call

Has starring in Wicked always been your dream? Well this could come true because Wicked is holding open calls for the next Elphaba Understudy!

Equity and non-Equity performers are welcome to attend the auditions on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 2 to 4pm. Sign in will begin promptly at 1:30pm. Hopefuls should prepare Wicked's famous song, "The Wizard and I" from bar 117 to the end of the song. A piano accompanist will be provided. Bring a photo/resume stapled together.

The Wicked casting call is looking for:

Female, to play 20s, any ethnicity. Needs a powerhouse, thrilling high-belt singing voice, acting chops, and dancing and partnering ability. Must be capable of carrying a big show. Must be vocally sturdy. To appear in the onstage ensemble and understudy the starring role of ELPHABA (The "Wicked" witch. Born with emerald-green skin, she has had a rough childhood and is an outcast from the beginning. Smart, fiery, emotionally armored, sensitive, passionate, misunderstood, sincere, has potent inner beauty, rallies for the underdog, has great talent for sorcery).
