Ali Stroker, Javier Munoz and More to Join myFace 75th Anniversary Gala
The event will feature a performance from the cast Wonder The Musical, plus more.
myFace will present its milestone 75th Anniversary Gala, myFace Celebrates: Honoring the Past, Shaping the Future. The charity event will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 6:30 PM at 583 Park Avenue, New York City.
That night, to advance its core mission of “empowering every person to reach their potential, no matter how they look,” myFace will reach for the stars—starting with the shining stars of Broadway when Ali Stroker, the Tony Award-winning performer, anti-bullying champion and advocate for inclusion, takes center stage as host and headliner.
Ms. Stroker, who was paralyzed from the waist down at age 2 and went on to become the first person in a wheelchair to win a Tony Award, will share her personal story about battling prejudice against people who “look different.”
A star-studded finale, featuring Grammy-winning duo A Great Big World (Chad King and Ian Axel), Javier Muñoz (Hamilton and In the Heights) and his castmates from Wonder The Musical, will round out the evening. Reprising the lead role of Auggie Pullman is 12-year-old actor/singer Max Voehl, born with a cleft lip and palate and the veteran of 13 reconstructive surgeries. Then, in a show of support for all people living with facial differences, the cast will perform a medley from Wonder The Musical, featuring the standout ballad “You Are Beautiful.”
Shining a light on Resilience, Strength and Advocacy. One of the evening’s key highlights will be the presentation of myFace’s 2026 Courage Award to motivational speaker and influencer Joe DiMeo, who in 2020 became the first person to receive a combined full-face and double-hand transplant after a car crash in 2018 left him with third-degree burns over 80 percent of his body. Today, the 27-year-old’s advocacy platform, which includes his memoir, Eighty Percent Gone: One Hundred Percent Strong, has earned DiMeo more than 250,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram and other social media platforms.
The festivities will be held in the elegant event space 583 Park Avenue (63rd Street) and will kick off with Cocktails, Dinner and Live Music, interspersed with compelling personal testimonies from the myFace community, as well as from myFace leadership, board members and staff, some of whom live with facial differences themselves.
The evening also will include an Auction and a Paddle Raise, which raises precious, tax-deductible funds for the wide range of services that myFace provides to everyone in its community, from newborns to older adults.
