A Weekend Full Of Music Comes To Catskill's Bridge Street Theatre Hot on the heels of their successful production of Sarah Greenman's play "Leni", Bridge Street Theatre in Catskill presents another of its eclectic musical weekends June 9th and 10th, continuing a tradition the theatre established when it first opened its doors in the spring of 2014. And this time around, audiences will be encouraged not just to listen, but to get up and dance as well!

First up, on Saturday evening June 9th, it's the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, a collection of like-minded musical friends out of Albany, New York. This eleven-piece "big band" performs music ranging from 19th century operetta to dance hits of the 1920s-1950s to original contemporary compositions, making their live performances enjoyable for people of all sonic interests. Since its formation in 2013, DPO has performed all over the northeast for outdoor festivals, concerts, private parties, and swing dances. They've opened for Jay Leno at Proctor's in Schenectady and played TSL in Hudson, Caffe Lena, Albany's Tulip Festival, SUNY Potsdam, UConn, Saranac Lake's Party on the Patio, and many other fine places. And be sure to dust off your dancin' shoes for this performance, since the carpeted area between the auditorium's front row and the stage will be available to patrons who feel the urge to "cut a rug". www.dylanperrillo.com

The following afternoon, Sunday June 10th, the Hearts Content Ensemble - Caitlin Ippolit (flute), Jonathan Byron-Woodin (cello), Lory Frankel (oboe), Thomas Konow (violin), Ed Coughtry (clarinet and flute), and David Woodin (violin and viola), all members of the Catskill Chamber Orchestra - returns for their fourth engagement at Bridge Street with an intimate and wide-ranging program of chamber classics by Mozart, Corelli, Ravel, Stravinsky, and Brahms. And while the dance floor will not be open during their recital, this enormously gifted and enthusiastic ensemble of local musicians invariably cause audience's hearts to dance.

The Saturday evening performance by the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra begins at 7:30. Tickets are $20, $15 for BST Subscribers, and $10 for Students ages 21 and under. Sunday's matinee performance by the Hearts Content Ensemble begins at 2:00. Tickets are $15 and $10 for BST Subrscribers and Students. Advanced ticket purchase for both events is available online at BrownPaperTickets.com or by calling 800-838-3006. Tickets will also be sold at the door one half hour prior to each performance, subject to availability. The theatre is located at 44 West Bridge Street in the Village of Catskill, NY.
