Josh Walden, the founder  of The Walden Company and currently featured as a Cagelle in Broadway's La Cage Aux Folles, will present his first musical, A Day in the Life of Ordinary People, at the Flamboyan Theatre. The show will run from Wednesday, May 25th at 9 PM through June 11th at 7 PM during this year's Spring Fever Festival 2005.

As described in the press release, "This stunning musical piece tells a tale of both comedy and drama, and is best described as a Pippin meets Leave it to Beaver tale, set within the reality of a 1950's circus. This endeavor follows a successful run of All is Full of Love, the walden company's first fully produced ballet featured at breedingground's Spring Fever Festival in 2003."

Walden currently plays Mercedes in the Broadway production of La Cage aux Folles at the Marquis Theatre. Other Broadway credits include the revival of 42nd Street. Most recently, Walden produced his first project, All is Full of Love, a ballet loosely based on the narrative of On the Town set to the music of Bjork. Other choreography credits include benefits for Amfar and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, the New York International Fringe Festival, CAP 21/Tisch School of the Arts/NYU, Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Tropicana in Atlantic City and the Theatre Barn in New Lebanon, NY.

Also in the company of A Day in the Life of Ordinary People are
Jolynn Baca, Nancy D'Addario, Susan Haefner, Jene Hernandez, Matt Kovich, Willie Lee-Williams, Javier Munoz, Mike Newman, Sheri Sanders, Jason Shipman, Joe Witham and Stephanie Wilberding. Costumes are by Rob Bevenger, with lighting by Steve O'Shea and wigs by Steven Kirkham.

The Walden Company's mission is to create new and inventive works, taking the traditions and disciplines of choreography from the 1940's-1950's and applying it to storytelling with a modern sensibility.

A cast party at the Girl's Room will follow the 9 PM show on Wednesday, May 25, 2005. Please RSVP to Eva at 917-670-1397.
