Ars Nova presents an intimate discussion with composer/lyricist, William Finn, about his new musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which begins previews at Second Stage Theater on January 11th. Finn will also discuss his career, including his Tony Award wins for the score and libretto of Falsettos, and may share a tune or two. Finn will be interviewed by TheaterMania's chief drama critic, David Finkle. One pair of complimentary tickets to The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will be raffled to a lucky audience member – brush up on your spelling! Sunday, January 9th at 12:30 PM at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street, just west of 10th Ave.).

William Finn is the writer and composer of Falsettos, for which he received two Tony Awards: Best Book of a Musical (with James Lapine) and Best Original Score. Elegies, A Song Cycle, was recently presented at Lincoln Center and has seen productions at regional theatres. He has also written and composed In Trousers, March of the Falsettos, Falsettoland, Romance and Hard Times and A New Brain. He also penned a dormant musical version of The Royal Family.
