100A Productions to Present 2026-2027 Season at The Tobin Center
The lineup includes THE DIARIES OF ADAM AND EVE, MARJORIE PRIME, and THE UNDERPANTS at the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater.
100A Productions has unveiled its 2026–2027 season in the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater at The Tobin Center in San Antonio. Centered on the theme “Listening, Memory, and the Stories We Tell,” the season will feature a mix of fully staged productions and Industry Night readings.
Each performance will also feature pre-show lobby happy hours designed to foster connection among artists, audiences and the surrounding community.
The season will launch August 31 with an Industry Night reading of Mark Twain's The Diaries of Adam and Eve, adapted by David Birney. Directed by Alex Grubbs, the reading will star Amy Abrigo and Michael David Burger Song in a story exploring how two people learn to see and hear one another.
The mainstage season will open September 16 with I Saw the Lights, written by and starring Texas theater artist Jaston Williams. Directed by Chris McGarry, the newly expanded ensemble version transforms Williams' original solo work into a multi-character story inspired by the 1951 UFO sightings over Lubbock, Texas.
Williams will be joined by Kathy Couser, Linda Ford, Michael Howard, Karen Jones, Cynthia Martinez Rodriguez, David Stahl, Will Mercer and Vincent Hardy. Performances continue through September 27.
“This season is about listening: to memory, to belief, to one another, and to the stories that make us feel less alone,” said Rick Frederick, Producing Artistic Director of 100A Productions. “We are building a rhythm of return, inviting our community back into the room again and again to share live storytelling.”
The Industry Night series will continue October 26 with Conor McPherson's The Weir, followed by Tanya Saracho's Fade on January 11, 2027.
The second fully staged production of the season will be Jordan Harrison's Marjorie Prime, running February 10–21. Cheryl Strayed's Tiny Beautiful Things, adapted by Nia Vardalos, will receive an Industry Night reading on March 15.
The season will conclude with a fully staged production of The Underpants by Carl Sternheim, adapted by Steve Martin, running May 12–23.
Tickets and subscriptions are on sale now through The Tobin Center.
