Enter the Chupacabra Cantina in northern New Mexico, where nuns, a bartender, and an unexpected guest plant seeds of social justice amid the daily chatter of community gossip and Fox News reports blaring in the background. Stories from Tierra Amarilla, Palestine, and around the globe are woven into the fabric of the characters' lives, moving them to question what kind of seeds they are planting, and whether they are feeding the chupacabra.

The chupacabra is a legendary creature rumored to inhabit parts of the Americas. The name comes from the animal's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats.
