The Daily Mail reports that Fiona Lindsay will host a series of conversations called ENCOUNTERS: PERFORMERS ON PERFORMANCE at the Lyric Theatre, beginning in January 2014. The first two guests will be Lenny Henry (Jan 20) and David Suchet (Feb 24).

Producer Kim Poster described the series, saying: "It's an intimate conversation about an actor's life and craft in the entertainment business."

Henry starred as Othello at West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds in 2009, which then transferred to the West End. He made his debut at the Royal National Theatre in The Comedy of Errors, directed by Dominic Cooke, in 2011. A comedian, writer and actor, Henry originally starred in the 1990s TV comedy series Chef! More recently he has appeared on screen in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, BBC TV's Berry's Way, Conversations with my Wife, The Magicians and more. He also recently headlined a stand-up tour across the UK.

Before kicking off his TV career, Suchet joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and starred in Richard II, among other productions. He appeared in Oleanna at the Royal Court in 1993, directed by Harold Pinter. In 1996, he starred in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? opposite Diana Rigg. Suchet starred as Salieri in the Broadway production of Amadeus from 1998 to 2000, followed by his run in The Last Confession at Chichester Festival in 2007. Suchet's TV credits include Oppenheimer, as well as the miniseries The Way We Live Now, which earned him a BAFTA nomination. In 2006, he appeared as Van Helsing in the BBC version of Dracula. More recently, he has appeared on TV in Hidden, Great Expectations, The Hollow Crown and Agatha Christie: Poirot.

The plan is for ENCOUNTERS to continue for six months at the Lyric, with the aim of filming the series for distribution online.
