I plan my theatre-going year very early in advance so I already have plenty to look forward to in 2016! Breakfast at Tiffany's comes to the Theatre Royal Glasgow in May and I'm also very excited about Sister Act at the King's Theatre in October! To the horror of most of my friends, I am already planning my Christmas shows of 2016 and this year the Theatre Royal has The Commitments which I loved seeing in London a few years ago.

Birds of Paradise Theatre Company bring their latest production "Purposeless Movements" to Tramway Glasgow on February 26th & 27th. Written and directed by the brilliant Robert Softley Gale it looks at the stories of five men with cerebral palsy and ask what it is to move and be moved. I saw If These Spasms Could Speak several years ago at the Fringe and loved it, and I always love productions from Birds Of Paradise.

I have seen Christina Bianco a few times now but I am especially excited about seeing her in my hometown in April! Joined by Jai McDowall and Ray Quinn, Bianco will be bringing her many incredible talents to Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall as part of "Tonight from the West End".

One of the biggest tours to hit the UK in 2016 is Cameron Mackintosh's tour of Mary Poppins which hits Edinburgh in April 2016. With Zizi Strallen receiving rave reviews in the lead role, I can't wait to see this when it comes to Scotland!

As always, I am planning several London trips this year. I'm looking forward to seeing Funny Girl when it opens at the Savoy, Mrs Henderson Presents and Matthew Perry-penned play The End of Longing. I'm not so much "looking forward to" but I'm definitely intrigued by Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock which is set to open next year.. I am also hoping that 2016 will be the year that Hedwig and the Angry Inch comes to London. It is one of my all time favourite musicals and I think London needs a huge sparkling production of it!
