The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is pleased to exhibit a selection of images taken by award-winning photographer Nina Dunn. The exhibition brings together 24 key photographs from the artist's Europe series. Dunn's photos will be displayed and offered for sale throughout Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) during the run of the Company's Hero/Traitor Repertory (March 28 - June 2, 2012), featuring the productions Coriolanus and Wallenstein.

If Shakespeare had a camera, what would he have captured? Where would he have gone? Dunn's work translates the beauty and spirit of Shakespeare's Europe through vivid photos taken from unconventional perspectives. She uses light and color to show the graphic detail which is symbolic of a larger environment or mood, allowing the viewer's imagination to complete the story. Dunn is "excited to use this exhibition to help the Shakespeare Theatre Company and honored to have [her] work shown in this spectacular venue."

All proceeds from the purchase of the framed photos and acrylics in this exhibition go to benefit the artistic and education programs of the Shakespeare Theatre Company. To purchase Dunn's photography from the exhibit, patrons can visit the STC gift shop or reception desk at Sidney Harman Hall.

STC's Chief Development Officer Ed Zakreski notes, "the passion Nina has for her photography is clearly visible and we are thrilled that she has chosen to generously use her talent to benefit the theatre." Zakreski adds that this exhibition is a "unique, one-time opportunity" to celebrate and connect the interests of our patrons with the Hero/Traitor Repertory Series.
