F#@KING UP EVERYTHING to Play at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre

The New Musical Foundation and Off The Leash Productions are proud to announce that David Eric Davis' and Sam Forman's critically-acclaimed F#@KING UP EVERYTHING will premiere as part of the 2011 Capital Fringe Festival. The musical comes to DC following a widely popular run in New York City, where it was called "powerful, funny, moving and major entertainment" noting Davis' and Forman's charming and witty book. Davis and Forman collaborated with Matt Hinkley on original musical direction, orchestrations and arrangements. Jay D. Brock is directing the show with musical direction and new orchestrations and arrangements by Taylor Williams.

Set against the backdrop of Brooklyn's indie music scene complete with a gallery of hipsters, stoners, artists, cougars, song writers and puppeteers, F#@KING UP EVERYTHING is a rock musical comedy with heart. And ironic t-shirts. Can Christian Mohammed Schwartzelberg stay true to himself and still get the girl? Or will he lose her to the guy in leather pants?

"I fell in love with this show when I saw it in New York and I am thrilled to bring this exciting work to the DC market," said Charlie Fink, New Musical Foundation.

Performances begin on Friday, July 15 and run through Sunday, August 14 at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre (641 D Street NW). Performance Schedule:

F#@KING UP EVERYTHING is presented as part of The 2011 Capital Fringe Festival, a program of the Washington, DC non-profit Capital Fringe and is produced byJeremy Handelman/Off The Leash Productions, LLC.

The production is presented by The New Musical Development Foundation, founded in 2007 by co-Artistic Directors Charlie Fink and Matt Wolf, who work to further the development of new musicals through commissions, readings, and workshop productions, the cost of which is typically borne by the artists. All rights are retained by the authors throughout the process, the goal of which to enable new work to mature enough to produce for wider audiences.

Alex Aucoin (Drummer) is very excited to be a part of this production of F#@king Up Everything! Alex made his Washington, D.C. debut as the drummer for No Rules Theatre Co. production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and has worked all over the country on a wide range of shows including from 1776, Oklahoma, Grease, and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, to name a few. He has also played for such artists as jazz saxophonist Jeff Coffin and actress Kristin Chenoweth. In addition to his musical theater work, Alex is a classically trained percussionist and has performed as a soloist and section percussionist with symphony orchestras in Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Crystal Arnette (Arielle) grew up barefoot along the beaches of West Palm Beach, FL. John Fritz (Jake) is a recent graduate of the Musical Theatre program at American University and is thrilled to be part of the FUE team! Augie Praley (Christian) Lee August Praley is a Washington DC area actor and playwright. As an actor he has worked with Forum Theatre (bobrauschenbergamerica), dog & pony DC (Courage), Useless Theatre (The Perfect Chocolate Milkshake) and the Chopin Theatre in Chicago. He has had plays produced in Washington, DC, Chicago and most recently an international production in Tbilisi, Georgia. Plays include Sixty-9/11, The Last Ninety Minutes in the Life of Nikola Tesla, Concrete Memories of Phallic-Earth, euphoria: something better is coming. Praley will begin Graduate School at NYU's Tics School for Dramatic Writing this fall.

David Eric Davis (Music, Lyrics, Book) Award-winning lyricist, composer, visual artist, writer and director. Taylor Williams (New Orchestration and Arrangements, Music Direction) is a DC based pianist, arranger, music director, and composer. He has had the pleasure of working several times with recent Helen Hayes Award recipients No Rules Theatre Company, most recently co-arranging/orchestrating their production of "The Stephen Schwartz Project." As a composer he has written his own musical "Olympus" as well as a new Latin mass, which was recently performed in Ghana, Africa as part of "The Yonkofa Project." Jeremy Handelman (Producer) is founder and president of Off The Leash Productions, LLC where he produces theater and video. In addition to F#@king Up Everything, Off The Leash is developing three other exciting shows for the stage: Cruel Shoes, Shim Sham and Seriously Trivial People. Charlie Fink (Presenter) is the founder and producing artistic director of the not-for-profit New Musical Development Foundation, which supports the development of new musicals by underwriting the costs of readings and workshop productions.
