A special celebration of the longstanding collaboration between Claire Dowie, Liz Light and Stage2 Youth Theatre to launch Upfront Theatre recently published by Bloomsbury Methuen.

The evening will feature extracts from three plays adapted by Stage2 director Liz Light forStage2 from Claire Dowie's solo plays:Why Is John Lennon Wearing a Skirt? Arsehammers and The Year of the Monkey and one completely new play Hard Working Families written specially for Stage2. Claire Dowie will be performing alongside Stage2 members. The performances will be followed by a short Q&Awith Claire Dowie and Liz Light who will both be available for interview

Stage2 is a Birmingham based Youth Theatre and uniquely integrated: half of Stage2's members have a specific need or challenge, Claire Dowie is an internationally acclaimed award winning writer and performer who grew up in Birmingham.
