Young People's Theatre (YPT) extends an invitation to the community to attend its 50th Birthday Bash on Friday, May 13th.

Join the party as YPT throws open its doors to welcome members of the theatre and the education communities, along with donors, volunteers, Drama School alumni, audience members past and present, and friends from the St. Lawrence neighbourhood, for an all-ages once-a-century celebration!

A multitude of spaces in YPT's historic building at 165 Front Street East will come alive with music and memorabilia from each of its five decades as you roam through transformed lobbies, classrooms and performance spaces.

Doors open at 6pm and the fun will begin when guests are welcomed on the Mainstage at 7pm by YPT Artistic Director Allen MacInnis and Executive Director Nancy Webster. Surprise featured artists will join YPT staff and friends to help celebrate this milestone. Activities for our younger guests will take place from 6pm to 9pm. Post-show, the good times will continue around the building and well into the evening. There will even be a DJ in the 80s room spinning all your favorite tunes from the decade that everyone loves to hate.

Delicious food and drinks will be served all evening long. Visit the cash bar and schmooze with celebrity bartenders from the Toronto theatre community, including Patricia Wilson from Buddies in Bad Times and Dawn Petticrew from Comedy Bar.
