Talk Is Free Theatre (TIFT) is announcing the line-up for its third annual Barrie International Comedy Festival, which promises more events, more comedians and more laughs than ever before! The star studded festival features a full week of events running from September 14 to 20, 2015.

This year's festival proudly welcomes several prominent artists to the stage, including Canada's comedy sweetheart and long time SCTV star Andrea Martin; the irreverent Mary Walsh; Brent Butt, producer and star of CTV's popular sitcom, Corner Gas. Returning to the stage for a second year is Rod Beattie as Walt Wingfield, the favourite city stockbroker who quit his busy job to live on a farm, in the first installment, A Letter from Wingfield Farm.

Barrie has never seen so many comedy giants together and the big names keep on coming! Headliners also include well-known comedians: Gavin Crawford from This Hour Has 22 Minutes and comedian and songwriter, Lorne Elliott. This year's festival will feature a variety of interactive workshops open to the general public, such as Comedy Trivia and the Five-Minute Fringe Fest, held over lunch hour.

The Barrie International Comedy Festival has become a must-see annual event in the region and the highlight of this year's festival will be the exclusive Comedy Gala, where an impressive line-up of comedy icons will take to the Georgian Theatre stage on September 15, 2015 at 8 p.m. The memorable evening begins with a gourmet dinner prepared by Georgian College's award-winning culinary team followed by non-stop laughs from comedians Andrea Martin, Mary Walsh, Gavin Crawford and Lorne Elliott. This is a great way to experience several favourite artists in one evening.

Also new this year, TIFT will be supplying a shuttle service called 'TIFT Comedy Taxi' that will get you from Toronto and bring you to Comedy Fest. The shuttle service will include a comedian on board. To book the shuttle service, please visit www.tift.ca or call (705) 792-1949.

Three-performance packages include 15% ticket discount, access to priority seats and special hotel rates.

Tickets for all performances are available at the Mady Centre for the Performing Arts Box Office at 1 Dunlop St. W, by calling (705) 739-4228 or at theatres.barrie.ca. Single tickets begin at $39 plus HST. To view this year's detailed playbill and schedule, please visit www.tift.ca.
