Seth Rudetsky brings his very popular "Deconstructing Broadway" show to Toronto for one night only this Tuesday, September 28th! For those who aren't familiar with Seth's unique brand of humour and Broadway fun, he has a weekly show on Sirius FM and can frequently be found chatting about the finer points of singing, belting and Broadway in general (all with a sarcastic and witty sense of humour).

Seth's first time in Toronto was twenty years ago when he was the music director for the hugely successful FOREVER PLAID. Now he's back, and has some exciting guests attending the show as well. Audra MacDonald (Tony Award Winning Broadway Actress and Current Star of ABC's Private Practice), Will Swenson (HAIR and soon to star in North American Premiere of Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Andrea Martin (SCTV and first cast of Toronto Premiere of Love, Loss and What I Wore), Robin Duke (SCTV) and SharRon Matthews (Love, Loss and What I Wore and fresh off her World Domination Tour where she was a guest on Seth's NYC show) are all confirmed to be in attendance. Who knows who else might show up and contribute to the Deconstruction?

In an effort to expose Toronto to the unique experience of "Deconstructing Broadway" BWW asked Seth to choose his five favourite "Deconstruction Videos" to share with readers. Here they are - along with reasons why. We will also be offering three sets of tickets to the event on Tuesday night, click here for contest details!

Seth's Top 5 Deconstructing Broadway Videos

1. Deconstructing Barbra Streisand/Bea Arthur: One of my favourites because it is the first deconstruction I posted. It's me performing at the Neil Simon theater when HAIRSPRAY was there and it was during GYPSY OF THE YEAR which is the big BC/EFA fundraiser. I also love it because it features Bea Arthur "singing" DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE. Cra-za-zy.

2. Deconstructing THE MOST HAPPY FELLA's Susan Johnson!!!
I love this one because it features Susan Johnson, the first Broadway Belter I was obsessed with. So many people who love Broadway and are young only know the current group of sasstresses on Broadway and I love the chance to broaden their scope!

3. Deconstructing GREAT Broadway comedy moments part 2
I also love comedy (when it's actually funny. AKA peace out, SUDDENLY SUSAN). This video has some of my fave larfs!

4. Deconstructing my issues with LES MIZ
This features all of my "issues" with LES MIZ. One of them is the constant focus on the male genitalia. This is one of my favourites because A. I think it's funny and B. I'm obviously joking but I constantly get outraged comments from people saying that "Les Miserables" is in fact NOT French for "The Penises".

5. MYSTERY Broadway Singers!!
! And finally I love this one because it's kind of interactive which is a little bit like my show. Try and guess who these people were "before they were stars!"
