Klassika Concert Set for Opera Central Tonight

Klassika will be performing in concert tonight, May 3rd at Opera Central!

Formed in 2012, Klassika is three classically trained singers who beautifully blend harmonies together to sing unique arrangements of well-known songs. Call it classical crossover, popera, or operatic pop, this style of music became the rage when Enrico Caruso started recording Italian popular songs. The tradition is still going strong today with the success of Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo, and Jackie Evancho. Now the Tampa Bay area has its own soon-to-be-famous group.-to

Clint Shepherd has performed numerous lead roles in operas, musicals, and stage plays. He has been seen on stage in more than 50 productions. Clint has directed a number of award winning comedies and concerts for his own company and also as a guest director.

South African Jolanda Nel graduated from the Tswane University with a degree in Performing Arts: Opera. Since moving to the USA she has been very active in local opera productions in Tampa and also Denver. Jolanda has performed in England, Italy, Canada, South Africa, and the USA.

Chris Romeo can often been seen on stage singing with the St. Petersburg Opera Company where he is an Emerging Artist. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Masters in Vocal Performance. Chris is the choir director at the Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church.
