With a distinctively expressive sound and passion for evocative melodies, trumpeter Chris Botti brings his talents back to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tuesday, April 5th at 8:00pm.

Botti is best known today for his contemporary jazz performances. He made an initial splash in the pop music scene. Since the 2004 release of his critically praised When I Fall in Love, Botti has become the largest selling American jazz instrumentalist, according to Billboard. His ten solo albums feature everything from jazz-fusion to traditional jazz with lush orchestral arrangements. Impressions, the musician's tenth and most recent studio album, won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album in 2013. Touring for as many as 300 days per year, Botti has performed with many of the finest symphonies at venues from Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl to the Sydney Opera House and the Real Teatro di San Carlo in Italy. The acclaimed artist has also collaborated with a diverse string of famed musicians, including Sting, Barbra Streisand, Chaka Khan, Lady Gaga and Frank Sinatra.
