Leading Ladies, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis' women's giving initiative, exceeded its 2014-15 season fundraising goal of $78,000. The committee raised $79,258 to underwrite production costs of the 2013 Tony Award-winning Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which played on The Rep's Mainstage March 18 - April 12.

Leading Ladies was launched seven years ago as a way to bring women who are interested in theatre arts together in support of a production on The Rep's Mainstage each season.

Margaret Augustin and Lois Schultz co-chaired this season's sponsorship effort. "Leading Ladies has been one of The Rep's fastest-growing areas of individual support," said Augustin. "We are so grateful for our amazing committee and hundreds of donors who make this program possible each year."

Since its inception, Leading Ladies has raised more than $375,000. Past productions supported include: The Miracle Worker, The Diary of Anne Frank, Macbeth, Race, Double Indemnity and Noises Off.

Leading Ladies will announce the 2015-16 production supported by the committee this summer.

Since 1966, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has been the region's premier live, professional theatre. With more than 350 performances each season, The Rep reaches an average of over 160,000 audience members.
