COCA presents the fifth installment of its new performance series COCA Presents 2013-2014, The Little Dancer: Through a New Lens, this weekend, December 14-15, 2013, in the COCA Founders' Theatre. Internationally-known St. Louis photographer Stewart Halperin provides the artistic backdrop for this story ballet, which magically brings Edgar Degas' famous statuette to life. This holiday season, the Little Dancer and her friends will dance among Halperin's photography from around the world. The Little Dancer is presented by Mary Strauss and is suitable for all ages.

The cast features Josh Routh as the Artist, Kathleen Radke as the Ballet Teacher and COCA student Isabelle Mattenson, a sophomore at Francis Howell North High School, as the Little Dancer. Other performers are members of COCA's Ballet Eclectica.

In conjunction with The Little Dancer: Through a New Lens, Stewart Halperin will exhibit a selection of images highlighting striking cultural customs and rituals from around the globe in Color...My World in the Millstone Gallery at COCA, December 13, 2013 - February 9, 2014. Halperin's work has taken him to more than 80 countries spanning six continents, from some of the most remote corners of the globe to many of the world's major cities. Color...My World is presented by the Arthur and Helen Baer Charitable Foundation.

Tickets ($14-$18) are available for purchase online at http://www.cocastl.org, by phone at 314.561.4877 or in person at COCA during box office hours. Subscription packages comprised of at least six season shows are also available.
