The event also will pay tribute to two individuals who have made profound and lasting contributions to Chicago's theater scene: Steppenwolf Theatre Artistic Director Martha Lavey and former Steppenwolf Executive Director David Hawkanson. It could only be Swimming in the Shallows by Adam Bock, a comedy with a bite. Kitchen Theatre Company is trying to stop laughing long enough to say that the production is opening for previews on April 29, with the press opening on May 2 and performances through May 17. Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are delighted to announce that Sarah Ruhl's For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday will receive its world premiere at Actors Theatre of Louisville during the 40th Humana Festival of New American Plays. For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday was commissioned by Actors Theatre of Louisville and will be directed by Les Waters and performed in the Pamela Brown Auditorium.
