A man, a woman, a marriage…which lasted five years. The story, told in the exuberant and heart-rending songs of Jason Robert Brown, tells the story of the five years of a marriage, from intense love to a final, painful separation. However, there’s an intriguing twist: the man lives the five years from beginning to end, but the woman lives the five years backward, from end to beginning. Their “times” correspond only once, signaled by a remarkable duet.
A “must-see…and hear.”

BWW Reviews: FALL FOR DANCE Kicks Off with a High Energy Evening at the Delacorte
by Frances Steiner - Sep 17, 2014

The Public Theater was founded on the idea that “Culture belongs to everyone.” While Fall for Dance Festival is a brainchild of New York City Center and not The Public, this mandate is similarly a founding principle of the festival. Each performance costs $15 and consists of four works from leading dance companies and artists. This year, City Center commissioned three works in addition to four American premieres and four New York City premieres. Last year, at the tenth anniversary of the festival, City Center partnered with The Public to present two free performances at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. It was so successful that Fall for Dance at the Delacorte will become the annual kick off event. This year, the program consisted of works presented by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, New York City Ballet, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, and Lil Buck. (more...)

The Women's Health & Fitness Expo Comes to Houston, 10/25
by BWW News Desk - Sep 10, 2014

The Fourth annual Women's Health & Fitness Expo will be held in Houston Texas on Saturday, October 25th at 10am until 5pm. The event includes a variety of health and wellness sponsors, cooking demonstrations, and free medical workshops. 'The community can benefit from this event in a major way. We have a diverse group of medical professionals and wellness experts ready to provide information, product samples, tips on staying healthy, eating healthy and more. The health of Houston's women has made national headlines in The Last Five Years, especially in relation to family planning and breast cancer. For example, every year 78 contractors across Texas (including Planned Parenthood) receive federal funds allocated by the state to provide basic care to women. While many women are in need of health care, not too many understand what resources are available to those who are economically challenged. This type of information, and the resources that follow, will be highlighted at this year's expo. 'This event is reflective of Houston's outstanding leadership within the national medical community. Information on breast cancer, preventive medicine, eating balanced to offset disease and pain, the benefits of exercise, and more will be featured at the expo. The best part is the giveaways we are going to be offering. I feel it is the perfect incentive to get women to the event because some of the information our Exhibitors and Sponsor's will share may save a life,' finished Velma Trayham of ThinkZilla. Additionally, this year the Women's Health & Fitness Expo will be organized to benefit S.H.E. Squared, a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is geared towards advancing women in the areas of Social responsibility, Health and wellness, Education and Economics. Members of the press are encouraged to request media credentials for on-site Event Coverage or schedule an interview with the event's organizers and Sponsors the day of, or in advance. The Women's Health & Fitness Expo provides fitness workshops, wellness seminars, and demonstrations, on-site discussions with doctors, health screenings, social services, interactive health exhibits, vendors, product sampling, inspiration, support and motivation to all women in attendance.
