When young, American Alice follows a mime into an elevator, she finds herself in a strange new world. Loosely inspired by Chagall's Paris Through The Window, Alice encounters two little runts with very sticky fingers and a very naughty Queen. She runs her first Caucus Race and meets a deck of characters that seem familiar and new at the same time.



After a successful run at The SoHo Playhouse in June of 2011, Alice... (formerly Alice Au Pays Des Merveilles) was selected as an open-ended children's theater project for the playhouse. Playing every Saturday at 1pm, children and adults will be enthralled with Alice's curiouser and curiouser adventure.



Stretching the limit of our imaginations and creating an entirely new Wonderland, the production features a cast of ten actors doubling as the many characters of Lewis Carroll's classic story.

Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the schedule for Lincoln Center's sixth White Light Festival, running from October 14 through November 22, 2015. The multidisciplinary Festival, which takes its name from a quotation by the Estonian composer Arvo Part, is focused on the remarkable power of art to reveal the many dimensions of our interior lives. Spanning numerous musical traditions, genres, and disciplines, the Festival will offer 26 performances and events, featuring one world and five U.S. premieres and debuts by artists and companies from the United States, the U.K., Croatia, Belgium, France, and Ireland. Other Festival components include pre- and post-performance artist discussions, a panel discussion, film, and the popular post-performance White Light Lounges, where performers and audience members can gather. Ten pianists have been chosen to advance to the Semifinals of Canada's Honens Piano Competition. The musicians (ages 22 to 30) come from six countries: Italy, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine, United Kingdom and United States. One pianist will be named the Honens Prize Laureate and win the world's largest award of its kind-$100,000 (CAN) and an artist development program valued at a half million dollars. Cardinal, Xanadu will feature Amandina Altomare in the lead role of Clio/Kira. Orange County, Calif.—June 18, 2015—Inspired by the creative minds and unique backgrounds of its musicians, Pacific Symphony and its Board of Directors awarded four orchestra members with a “Musician Innovation Grant” totaling $20,000 to fund new artistic projects. The grant's purpose is to give musicians the opportunity for original expression, creativity and experimentation, with the goal of serving new communities and developing new or deeper interest in classical music. These four chamber music performances explore such diverse themes as obsession, synesthesia, suppressed musical treasures of the 20th century, as well as classical and Broadway music. Taking place from June through next season, each of the events is free or low-cost to attend and features a chamber ensemble of Symphony musicians and outside artistic collaborators.
