Turning Point Ensemble Presents CARNIVAL This Weekend

NYU's KNOWLEDGE CARNIVAL Set for Today

Independent Curators International (ICI), Pratt Manhattan Gallery, and Franklin Furnace will present Knowledge Carnival, a series of student performances developed in Professor Karen Finley's class titled Creative Response: Performance Matters, held at the Department of Art and Public Policy, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. Martha Wilson, founding director of Franklin Furnace, invited the burgeoning artists to present their work at Pratt Manhattan Gallery after visiting the class in fall 2014. Curated by Leonie Ettinger, the programming is inspired by Wilson's body of work and the myriad experimental performances embedded in Franklin Furnace's history.

New York Theatre Ballet to Present CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS, 6/6-7

New York Theatre Ballet (NYTB) presents Carnival of the Animals from June 6-7, 2015 as part of the Company's Once Upon A Ballet series for children at Florence Gould Hall, 55 East 59th Street, NYC. Performances: Saturday and Sunday at 11am, 1pm and 3:30pm. Tickets are $35 for children, $40 for adults. Carnival Triumph Makes Inaugural Call To Dominica

Dominica welcomed Carnival Triumph of Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL) this week as it made its inaugural call, arriving at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth. With a passenger capacity of 2,754 and crew size of 1,100, Carnival Triumph sailed to the "Nature Island" from Grenada. This is the Triumph's only scheduled call to Dominica during the 2014/2015 cruise season.
