There’s more to this classic tale than sewing mice and magical pumpkins. Ballet Memphis will reprise Steven McMahon’s interpretation of the Charles Perrault fairy tale as the season’s last mainstage show. The company debuted the work–featuring the famous score by Sergei Prokofiev as well as sets from the London City Ballet –during the 2008-09 season.

Cabrillo Music Theatre has announced their upcoming shows in the 2010 - 2011 season. Cabrillo Music Theatre is an Ovation Award Winner and the Resident Musical Production Company at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, the largest theatre between Los Angeles and San Francisco. For over three decades, Cabrillo has enriched life in Southern California, providing extraordinary performing arts through live musical theatre. Cabrillo is a volunteer based non-profit theatre company presenting award-winning musicals with full, live orchestras, lavish sets and costumes, and premier talent. Cabrillo Music Theatre's mission is to introduce the musical theatre experience to socially, culturally, economically diverse, and underserved populations of Southern California. Cabrillo's 2009-2010 Season anticipates reaching more than 100,000 people through our main stage, off-stage, and special productions, as well as our award-winning OUTREACH programs. Since 2005, Cabrillo's OUTREACH programs have included over 27,000 underserved, Title I children, in-need seniors, and active military troops, all free of charge.

Broadway leading and principal roles include: 2005 revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SUESSICAL THE MUSICAL, SUNSET BLVD., SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, and CATS. After the success of Brief Encounter in the West End and on Broadway, Kneehigh's new adaptation of Jacques Demy and Michel Legrand's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg will arrive at the Gielgud Theatre following a limited run at Curve, Leicester. The Umbrellas of Cherbourg will begin previews on 5 March, with press night on 22 March and is booking until 1 October 2011. Directed by Emma Rice, with lyrics translated by Sheldon Harnick, designs by Lez Brotherston, lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, sound by Simon Baker and musical supervision by Nigel Lilley, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg will be produced in the West End by Daniel Sparrow and Mike Walsh Productions, Curve Leicester and City Lights International in association with BE MY Productions.

It's a season of laughs, tension and a classic fairytale this year for Dundalk Community Theatre, in residence at the Community College of Baltimore County, Dundalk, 7200 Sollers Point Road. Individual tickets for 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee', 'Twelve Angry Men' and 'Cinderella' are $22 for adults, $19 for senior adults and $14 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under. For tickets and information, call the CCBC Box Office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at 443-840-2787, or visit www.ccbcmd.edu/performingarts/dct.html . The CCBC Box Office is open two hours before each production for ticket sales. Spelling Bee runs October 29th - November 7th.
