It's a season of laughs, tension and a classic fairytale this year for Dundalk Community Theatre, in residence at the Community College of Baltimore County, Dundalk, 7200 Sollers Point Road.  Individual tickets for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", "Twelve Angry Men" and "Cinderella" are $22 for adults, $19 for senior adults and $14 for students/DCT Actors/Children 12 and under.  For tickets and information, call the CCBC Box Office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at 443-840-2787, or visit www.ccbcmd.edu/performingarts/dct.html .  The CCBC Box Office is open two hours before each production for ticket sales.  Spelling Bee runs October 29th - November 7th.

In a time when reality and competitive shows have become the norm, Broadway Team William Finn (Music/Lyrics) and Rachel Sheinkin (Book), brought that theme to The Great White Way.  Their efforts paid off to sold-out performances and an extended run.  In turn, the musical received the 2005 Tony Award for Best Book and Best Featured Actor.

'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' features six young overachievers, and a few audience members, in a competition to win the Spelling Bee trophy and advance to the next level.  These kids, however, are in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves.  They will learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.  For these outsiders it is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.  With audience volunteers recruited nightly to participate on-stage as guest spellers, each performance is guaranteed to be unique.

Director: John Desmone, Musical Director: Tiffany Underwood, Choreographer: Bambi Johnson and Set/Lighting Marc Smith.  The cast includes:  Jillian Victoria (as Rona Lisa Perretti) and Ryan DeVoe (Barfee) from Bel Air.  Roger Schulman (VP Panch), Troy Hooper (Mitch), Drew Gaver (Leaf), Sarah Ford Gorman (Schwarzy), Sara Simpkins (Marcy) and Becca Vourvoulas (Olive) from Baltimore and Ron Giddings (Chip) from Anne Arundel County.

Dundalk Community Theatre is a program of the college, providing high-quality live theatre experiences for the entire family at affordable prices.  Tom Colonna, a veteran actor and director, serves as the Managing Director for DCT.

Showtimes are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday - October 29 - November 7 in the John E. Ravekes Theatre, K Building.  For tickets and information, call the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-2787 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or visit DCT's Web site at www.ccbcmd.edu/performingarts/dct.hmtl .  Patrons requiring special accommodations are urged to notify the Box Office at least two weeks in advance at 443-840-2787.
