DWTS' Mark Ballas and Grammy-award winner Peabo Bryson light up Holiday Tree Lighting Concert (11/18)
On Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 7:30pm, The Americana at Brand hosts the third annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration produced by Chris Isaacson Presents.
To start the celebration, ABC's Dancing with the Stars sensation Mark Ballas and fellow dancers will excite the crowd with original dance numbers inspired by the coming holiday. The spirit of the holidays will kick into high gear when two-time Grammy Award-winner and legendary R&B and soul singer Peabo Bryson performs his Christmas favorites and some of his most popular songs from his legendary career.
Free and open to the public, Guests will also be treated to a special musical performance from the cast of "Cinderella: A Christmas Story" from the El Portal Theatre's forth-coming production which includes Jerry Mathers, the beloved "Beaver" from the timeless sitcom Leave it to Beaver as Cinderella's father, Harry Potter's Freddie Stroma as Prince Charming, Broadway sensation Jennifer Leigh Warren plays the Fairy Godmother and newcomer Veronica Dunne will enchant the crowd as Cinderella.
The celebration would not be complete without the dramatic arrival of Santa Claus welcomed with great fanfare by the La Canada High School Marching Band. The Faithful Central Bible Church Choir sings holiday classics as the stunning 100-ft tree with its 10,000 glistening lights and 15,000 sparkling ornaments comes to life, while a magnificent fireworks display lights the sky!
The Holiday Tree Lighing Celebration concert begins at 7:30pm on Thurs, Nov 18, 2010 and is free and open to the public.
