The Belmont Theatre (formerly York Little Theatre) is set to produce the gothic musical thriller Jekyll & Hyde February 17-19 and 23-26 . The show tells the story of two men - one a doctor, passionate and romantic - the other, a terrifying madman; and two women - one, beautiful and trusting -the other, beautiful and trusting only herself. Both women are in love with the same man, and both are unaware of his dark secret. The story unfolds in gripping fashion with unforgettable songs like 'Someone Like You' and 'A New Life.'
292 Theatre presents IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL

In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel, one of Tennessee Williams lesser known works plays for a limited run at 292 Theatre on The Lower East Side. The production was recently produced at the 2016 Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival in Provincetown, Massachusetts where it played to sold-out houses. Legendary New York actor/writer/director, Everett Quinton who is best known for his work with Ridiculous Theatrical Company, directs.

Street Theatre Company enters its 2017 season this February with a concert version of the crowd-pleasing, Broadway hit JEKYLL & HYDE. JEKYLL & HYDE will be the first part of Street Theatre's very popular and newly revived "Street Corner Concert Series." (The second, THE THREEPENNY OPERA, will be staged later this year.) Co-curated by The Library for the Performing Arts and the V&A, where the exhibition debuted earlier this year, in partnership with the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), Curtain Up: Celebrating the Last 40 Years of Theatre in New York and London highlights how the theatre districts of both cities have flourished and developed since 1976. The exhibition, which opens at The Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center onOctober 31, 2016 and is on display through June 30, 2017.

Frank Wildhorn chrieb fur DAS SCHARLACHROTE SIEGEL unter die Haut gehende Balladen, humoreske Ensembles sowie dramatische Massenszenen. 1997 am Broadway erschienen, setzte sich der Erfolg des Musicals auch nach der Deutschen Erstauffuhrung 2003 in Halle/Saale fort. Regisseur und Theaterautor Roland Huve inszenierte Chemnitzer Neueinstudierung zugrunde liegende Produktion 2010 in Bielefeld und bringt sie nun mit Veit Schafermeier in der Hauptrolle findet ab 15. Oktober an die Theater Chemnitz.
