She received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in a?oePushing Daisies,a?? won a Tony Award for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and was also nominated for her original role of Glinda the Good Witch in the Broadway smash-hit Wicked. Chenoweth will make her Playhouse debut the day after her new album, For the Girls, is scheduled for release. The Gala begins at 5:30pm in Yanity Gymm, which will be transformed into a beautiful party space, with dinner, open bar and silent auction (Gala ticket holders only) and continues in the theater with a live auction and Kristin Chenoweth performance at 8pm. Teens Take On The Coming-of-Age Musical SPRING AWAKENING At Stella Adler Theatre

A teen-helmed production of the Tony Award-winning rock musical, Spring Awakening, is set to open at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood on May 11, 2019. Directed by 14-year-old wunderkind George Baron, (whose directorial debut for the stage was his jukebox-styled Broadway musical revue I Confess at the Whitefire Theatre), the cast also features up-and-coming young talents performing in the adolescent roles with musical direction by Estani Frizzell. The musical is based on Frank Wedekind's 1891 controversial play about teenagers trying to find their way in the world amid the angst of sexual discovery. Featuring music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater, the original Broadway production received eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and was hailed by the New York Drama Critics Circle, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle as the Best Musical of the Year.

This brand new adaptation features Book, Music and Lyrics by Joe Barros and Rick Edinger. Performances begin August 11 and run through September 12 at Alice's Tea Cup - Chapter II, 165 E. 64th St in Manhattan. Showtimes are 9am todays and Sundays and 3pm on Wednesdays. Tickets are $18 for general admission and include a tea and scone.
