Moscow, 1938. A dangerous place to have a sense of humour; even more so a sense of freedom. Mikhail Bulgakov, living among dissidents, stalked by secret police, has both. And then heís offered a poisoned chalice: a commission to write a play about Stalin to celebrate his sixtieth birthday.

Inspired by historical fact, Collaborators embarks on a surreal journey into the fevered imagination of the writer as he loses himself in a macabre and disturbingly funny relationship with the omnipotent subject of his drama.

Killing my enemies is easy. The challenge is to change the way they think, to control their minds. And I think I controlled yours pretty well. In years to come, Iíll be able to say: Bulgakov? Yeah, we even trained him. He gave up. He saw the light. We broke him, we can break anybody. Itís man versus monster, Mikhail. And the monster always wins.

John Hodgeís blistering new play depicts a lethal game of cat and mouse through which the appalling compromises and humiliations inflicted on any artist by those with power are held up to scrutiny.

Following its successful run in the Cottesloe Theatre, Collaborators is transferring to the Olivier Theatre on April 30 for a limited run.

For those searching for the meaning of life, they need look no further than American poet Jimmy D Robinson's book of modern poetry titled 'Peace Love Music,' published in 2007 by Jimmyland Corp. Renaissance man Jimmy D Robinson teamed up with Grammy Award winners A Flock of Seagulls in 2016 to begin collaboration on bringing the famous poet's words to life with a chill music vibe. A Flock of Seagull's front man Mike Score hand-selected the poems 'In My Pocket' and 'Things Change' from one of Robinson's best-selling books, 'Peace Love Music,' to craft and record with international producers Josh Harris, Grammy nominated Moto Blanco, and Grammy Award winner Dave Audé. Jimmy D Robinson, a musician and producer in his own right, also makes vocal appearances on the deep house and chill lounge tracks. Songs will be released from Florida-based Mind Juice Records label. The foundation of ARRABAL builds upon Argentina's tumultuous past of decaying democracy and state-sponsored terrorism while focusing on a single family affected by this conflict. The family here is a captured guerrilla fighter-slash-father, a mourning Abuela, and daughter Arrabal on a quest for closure.
