Broadway Sacramento announced the 2020 lineup for Broadway At Music Circus, the 70th season for the Sacramento institution. The season includes six musicals taking place June through August, two of which are Broadway At Music Circus premieres. It was also announced that the theatre where Broadway At Music Circus takes place, located at 1419 H Street in Sacramento and known since 2003 as the Wells Fargo Pavilion, will now be called the Dignity Health Theatre.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce the first show of the 2019 Mainstage Season will be the World Premiere of THE PROMPTER (May 28- June 16) a new comedy by Wade Dooley; directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director. After a sell-out run in June this year in which Laura Linney made her London Theatre debut, she will return to the Bridge to reprise the title role in Richard Eyre's production of My Name is Lucy Barton. Running from 23 January -16 February 2019 for a strictly limited 26 performances, this haunting dramatic monologue is adapted by Rona Munro from Pulitzer Prize-winning Elizabeth Strout's 2016 New York Times best-selling short novel of the same name. Evening performances are Monday to Saturday at 7.45pm with Saturday matinees at 2.30pm. Tickets for My Name is Lucy Barton will go on sale for Priority Members today at 10am, for Advance Members on Thursday 18 October 2018 at 10am with tickets released for public sale on Friday 19 October 2018 at 10am.

Northrop will welcome Misty Copeland, the first African-American woman elevated to ballet's highest title of principal dancer in New York's American Ballet Theatre, for a special event Sun, Mar 31. The program, titled INSPIRED. A Conversation with Misty Copeland, will feature Misty's personal story of overcoming hardships as a young girl, her meteoric rise in the world of ballet and beyond, and her commitment to empowering youth worldwide. The master of ceremonies for the event is Robyne Robinson, and actress and Minnesota native Lea Thompson is a special guest. Proceeds from this event help support Northrop's youth programming, which transforms lives through arts enrichment and education.
