Director Zi Alikhan stages the show as you've never seen before, cutting away the period clothing and elaborate setting to focus on its brilliant music and lyrics and the poignant themes it explores. It was announced today that Australian daredevil Sam Powers, aka The Enigma, will join the Melbourne season of The Illusionists: Direct from Broadway at The Regent Theatre from 22 January 2019. Described by critics as a new breed of escape artist, Powers will attempt a world first, death defying escape in a nail biting, edge-of-your-seat spectacle that would have Houdini turn in his grave.
