Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for Ruth and Augustus Goetz's melodrama, The Heiress, suggested by the Henry James novel, Washington Square. After growing up subjected to her father's disinterest and strong resentment, a young woman in the 1850s discovers what love is in her journey towards independence, growth and strength, without an impactful female role model in her life. Directed by Deputy Artistic Director Seema Sueko, The Heiress runs February 8 - March 10, 2019 in the Fichandler Stage.

The gifts have been opened, the feasts have been eaten and the merriment has been had. As the holiday season comes to a close and we countdown the final days of the year, we're getting ready to ring in 2019 by looking back. Many theatres will get marquee makeovers in the coming weeks, as a handful of shows prepare to take their final bows. Before that happens, peek back on all of the Broadway marquees of 2018 below!

Aaron Watson is set to make a rousing return to Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium on January 24, 2019.  As announced via Watson's socials this week, opening the marquee date is a songwriter in-the-round lineup featuring some of his native Lonestar state's songwriting royalty: Music Row hit makers Rodney Clawson, Liz Rose, and Tom Douglas.  

Off the back of yet another successful Edinburgh Fringe run in August, and a successful Autumn residency at Leicester Square Theatre, Degrees of Error's hilarious and innovative Murder, She Didn't Write will continue their monthly shows at the Leicester Square Theatre as their residency has been extended with shows now booked until May 2019. In addition to this, they are due to embark on a national tour where they will bring their riotous show to audiences across England come the New Year.

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2019 season, which opens on June 10 with Guys and Dolls.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announced the winners of the 2019 TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series: Miracolo by Jarlath Barsanti-Jacobs and Emilio Solla; and Seeing Red by Joey Mazzarino and Aron Accurso.The two musicals will be performed on Monday evening January 14th and Monday evening February 4th respectively. Dynamic, award-winning solo-actress Pam Levin will launch 2019 with something that hasn't been done at Sherman Oaks, Whitefire Theatre Solofest 2019 (13500 Ventura Blvd. Sherman Oaks,91423). She will perform three plays on three different days. On January 16th, Levin brings back her original hit Tales of Modern Motherhood which she performed to sold out audiences off-Broadway, at the Santa Monica Playhouse and as the headline performance for last year's Solofest.

SHN and Producers Tommy Mottola, the Dodgers, Tribeca Productions and Evamere Entertainment are pleased to announce a San Francisco engagement at the SHN Golden Gate Theatre from November 27 to December 23, 2018 as part of the 2018-2019 SHN Season for the North American tour of A BRONX TALE, the new musical featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo.
