Its name derived from "God, you're such a player-hater," one of Megan Fox's iconic lines from Jennifer's Body, Player-Hater Productions is an LA-based theatre machine committed to the development and production of unique, immersive musical theatre experiences, including: unauthorized stage adaptations (not parodies) of cult films and TV shows, song cycles, re-imagined Shakespeare, and more. Ross and Bybee previously collaborated on Beauty & The Beat (which was co-written alongside Conor Hanney, writer/director of the award-winning Divorce: The Hip-Hop Musical), Jennifer's Body: The Unauthorized Musical From Hell, We Need To Talk About Norman: A Psycho Musical, and most recently, I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Unauthorized Musical - which finished its sold-out freshman run on November 16, 2018.

Adapted for the stage by Ross and directed by Bybee, I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Unauthorized Musical - a musical love letter to the teen slasher film written by Kevin Williamson - slashes its way back to LA's historic El Cid on Sunset (4212 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90029) Thursday, January 17th, Friday, January 18th, Thursday, January 24th, and Friday, January 25th. Tickets go on-sale to the public on Friday, December 14th via www.elcidsunset.com.

Return to Southport, North Carolina, back in the cruel summer of 1997 when Julie (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt in the film), Ray (played by Freddie Prinze Jr. in the film), Helen (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the film) and Barry (played by Ryan Phillippe in the film) were out having fun, drinking, partying, running people over, and getting away with murder. But when it becomes clear the truth is no longer six feet under, the friends quickly realize that it's not over until The Fisherman sings. Literally. Set to a playlist of 90s B-sides from Eve 6, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Third Eye Blind, The Verve Pipe, and more, #IKnowMusical is bound to have you singing and screaming your heart out. And, yes, Julie obviously sings Jennifer Love Hewitt's How Do I Deal as heard on the sequel soundtrack.

The musical stars Scott Porter (NBC's Friday Night Lights, The CW's Hart of Dixie) as Ben Willis/The Fisherman Bianca Gisselle (UMPO Mean Gurlz) as Julie James, Ryan Sutton Stevens (We Need To Talk About Norman: A Psycho Musical) as Ray Bronson, Greer Grammer (MTV's Awkward, The Unauthorized O.C. Musical) as Helen Shivers, Brian Logan Dales (Singer/songwriter of The Summer Set/DALES) as Barry Cox, Matthew Scott Montgomery (Disney Channel's So Random!) as Max Gillespie, and Alli Miller (Screamlesque) as Elsa Shivers/Sunny Egan. Connor Weil (MTV's Scream) and Natalie Masini (Scissorhands) serve as covers.

I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Unauthorized Musical is presented by El Cid and Player-Hater Productions with music direction by Andrew Orbison, arrangements and orchestrations by Elmo Zapp, lightning design by Kelsey Long, sound design by Mike Frazee, and costumes by Ryann Risner.

The performance schedule is Thursdays and Fridays: January 17th at 8pm, January 18th at 8pm, January 24th at 8pm, and January 25th at 8pm. Tickets will be sold in four tiers: General Admission - $34, VIP (includes a glass of champagne) - $48, VIP Booth (for up to SIX people and includes a bottle of champagne) - $190. All tiers require a two-item food or beverage minimum. Tickets can be purchased at www.elcidsunset.com beginning Friday, December 14th.
