Henry thought he could get away from the recriminations and pain of a failed marriage by fleeing to a remote village on The Edge of the Mexican jungle. A late night walk under the stars leads him to the knife's point of a desperado with a terrifying obsession.

First produced at the Manhattan Theatre Club in 1998, EYES FOR CONSUELA is a rarely seen, lyrical chamber piece that goes to the heart of longing and desire, regret and absolution. A dynamic ensemble, in a rich, dreamlike setting, bring to vivid life Sam Shepard's adaptation of the short story by poet Octavio Paz, "The Blue Bouquet."

Artistic Director, Susanna Burney directs OAT Co's second full production (THREE HOTELS, June '08). With Richard Carmen, Gavin Cummins, Toni Rose and Michael Brill. The design team includes lighting design by Melinda Short, sound by Jay Weinland, and a set design collaboration with Bliss Kolb and painter, Jessica Dodge. Tim Crist stage manages.
