Nominees Announced for 2014 Gypsy Rose Lee Awards!

Seattle Theater Writers, a critics' circle of local theater writers and reviewers, today announces the 2013 slate of nominees of the third annual Gypsy Rose Lee Awards, theater awards devoted to recognizing excellence across the economic spectrum of professional Seattle theaters.

"The range of nominees is a terrific representation of the enormous variety of excellent theatrical performances last year in Seattle, as well as the variety of opinions from our writers!" said Seattle Theater Writers founder, Miryam Gordon. "We feel our final slate reflects a real cornucopia of delights from a critics' choice perspective."

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 22, 2014!

The nine Seattle theater writers and reviewers that participated in this year's slate have come together to award their choices for excellence in theater and include: Jose Amador (Seattle Star), Alice Kaderlan (Feet First), RoseMary Jones (The Examiner), Miryam Gordon (Seattle Gay News), Jerry Kraft (Seattle Actor), Nancy Worssam (Arts Stage/Seattle Rage), Michael Strangeways (Gay Seattle Scene), Dusty Somers (Blogcritics) and Scott Taylor (Seattle Stage Revue). All members see and review a significant number of performances throughout the year in order to recommend nominees for excellence in theater. Group members may alter each year.
