The life and times of The Lusty Lady Peepshow are recounted through the eyes of a young man who worked there in My Time with the Lady, the world premiere of a new autobiographical play by Ron Richardson and John Longenbaugh.

From 1987 to 1992, Richardson worked on and off as a cashier, janitor, doorman and occasional bouncer at Seattle's Lusty Lady peepshow. It was the dream job for a young man from Walla Walla who received the education of a lifetime, becoming familiar with the inner workings of an adult establishment and the people who worked on its stages and behind the scenes. During those years Richardson watched the Lady change, as First Avenue evolved from a seedy waterfront district known as "Flesh Avenue" into an upscale yuppie stretch of condos, restaurants and large art institutions.

Richardson blends comedy, pathos and business analysis in a series of stories that explore the sometimes seamy but always fascinating world of The Lusty Lady, creating a portrait as brash, lively and unusual as the Lady's infamous marquee.

Richardson has acted around the Pacific Northwest since earning his BA in theatre from WSU in 1992, and has appeared locally in productions at the Little Red Studio and Annex Theatre, as well as acting in independent movies and industrial videos.

The show also features Kirsten Lauzon, founder of the DANGEROUS Dance and Drag Troupe and Co-Producer/Director of Full Royal Flush, whose work as an actor, dancer and circus performer has been seen with The Cabiri and at LRS.

Co-written and directed by former Seattle Weekly Theatre Writer John Longenbaugh (Scotch and Donuts, The Man Who Was Thursday, How to be Cool, Arcana) My Time with the Lady is a valentine to a true Seattle original, a peep show where the employees worked cooperatively and a young man fell in love with not only a whole company of erotic dancers, but the place that provided their paycheck.

The production is presented byt the Little Red Studio, located at 400 Dexter Avenue N., 98109. Performance times are Thurs 8/19-Sat 8/21, Thu 8/26, Sat 8/28, Sun 8/29, all performances at 8 pm. Tickets are $15 and are available via brownpapertickets.com.
