The LAKEWOOD PLAYHOUSE, currently celebrating its 75th Anniversary, has announced its First "Power2Give.org/PugetSound" CAMPAIGN Presented by ARTSFUND of King County.

"Power2Give.org/PugetSound is an Online 'Crowd Funding Program' similar to KickStarter or Indigogo," said Lakewood Playhouse Managing Artistic Director, JOHN MUNN. "The biggest difference is this that this is created by the Arts and maintained for the Arts. Anyone can donate to the Campaign, no matter where they live, and be a supporter of the Lakewood Playhouse and the Special Projects that we are planning for our theatre. And every donation will be MATCHED, Dollar for Dollar, by Corporate Sponsor!"

The Lakewood Playhouse has chosen an ASSISTIVE LISTENING SYSTEM to search through funding during its First Online Campaign through Power2Give.org/PugetSound.

"As some of our Patrons have experienced some sort of hearing loss during their lives, we are hoping raise funds for a Assistive Listening System," Munn continued," We believe that, by obtaining this system, we will be able to help them enjoy the theatrical experiences that they have come to love, and expect, at the Lakewood Playhouse. If we are able to raise the $3,000.00 through Power2Give/PugetSound, we will be able to provide this assistive listening experience for visitors to our theatre for years to come."

This unique campaign has only 60 Days to achieve its goal of $3,000.00 for an Assistive Listening System. The Lakewood Playhouse truly believes it can achieve its dreams by joining forces with ArtsFund of King County - an amazing non-profit organization that began as the United Arts Council of Puget Sound in 1969.

"ArtsFund is one of the oldest, and most respected, Arts Organizations in Washington State," Munn said, "We know that, by teaming up with them, that dreams for our seventy-five year theatre can go even farther than we ever hoped before. We can't wait to see what the future holds for both of our Organizations."

Lakewood Playhouse's Power2Give.org/PugetSound Online Campaign for an Assistive Listening System goes LIVE TONIGHT at 9:00pm as of JANUARY 31st and ENDS on MARCH 1st at 9:00PM!
