The 2016/2017 KeyBank Broadway at The Paramount season brings another year of superb entertainment to The Paramount Theatre, with a roster of can't miss shows!


The 2016/2017 Season begins with the inspiring true story of Carole King and her rise to stardom in the Tony and Grammy Award winning production BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL. Then, see the theatrical event that will capture the kid-at-heart in everyone, with the story of Peter Pan in FINDING NEVERLAND, followed by the 2015 Tony Award-winner for Best Revival of a Musical THE KING AND I featuring a score of beloved classics!

Don't miss Springtime in Paris, right here in Seattle, with AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, the Tony Award-winning new musical about an American soldier and a mysterious French girl who yearn for a new beginning in post-war Europe. Next up, you can leave your troubles behind as you experience Roundabout Theatre Company's Tony Award winning musical CABARET, direct from Broadway!

Finally, the season culminates with the multiple Tony Award winning Best Play THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME featuring an engaging story that will take you on an emotional ride you may never forget!

October 19 - 30, 2016

BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL tells the inspiring true story of King's remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation. Featuring a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including "I Feel The Earth Move," "One Fine Day," "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," "You've Got A Friend" and the title song, BEAUTIFUL- THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL has a book by and Tony Award nominee and Academy Award-nominated writer Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni, choreography by Josh Prince, and took home two 2014 Tony Awards and a 2015 Grammy Award.

FINDING NEVERLAND

Lincoln Center Theater's critically acclaimed production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I directed by Tony Award Winner Bartlett Sher won four 2015 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical.

Bartlett Sher is reunited with the award-winning creative team from South Pacific and The Light in the Piazza. THE KING AND I features sets by Michael Yeargan; costumes by Catherine Zuber; lighting by Donald Holder, sound by Scott Lehrer and choreography by Christopher Gattelli based on the original choreography by Jerome Robbins.

One of Rodgers & Hammerstein's finest works, THE KING AND I boasts a score which features such beloved classics as "Getting To Know You," "I Whistle a Happy Tune," "Hello Young Lovers," "Shall We Dance" and "Something Wonderful." Set in 1860s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.

THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, winner of five 2015 Tony Awards including BEST PLAY, is hailed as "One of the most fully immersive works ever to wallop Broadway" by The New York Times. This "dazzling" (Associated Press) adaptation is the Tony Award winning new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott.

Fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor's dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever.
