Forward Flux Productions will present the North West Regional premiere reading of Sarah Bernstein's dark new play The Summer House at the eighth Flux Salon gathering in Seattle. In addition to the reading, visual art will be on display from Seattle artist Barry Johnson, and there will be a musical performance by indie band Blue Poseidon. The Flux Salon presents new works by fresh voices in intimate spaces throughout the city, with an emphasis on female voices. The Salon is tonight, April 14th at 7:00pm, by invitation only, and will be held at a secret location in Ballard. Email salon@forwardflux.com to request a ticketing link.

About The Summer House: Harley, Dylan, and Gil find themselves alone in an empty beach rental in the dog days of August, after the rest of their friends have departed for home or school. On their last night of vacation, the teens are haunted by the recent disappearance of a local girl, an incident in which they are implicated, and which has affected each of them in different ways. Over their last day and night together, the three friends search for the truth behind what happened to the missing girl - an exploration that will alter their friendship forever.

The reading will be presented by Grace Carmack, Rachel Anne Godbe, and Patrick Hurlburt.
