Join us for our third Friday Fest of the summer! Back by popular demand, Jah Movement will take the stage on the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall bayside lawn on Friday, August 25, from 5PM-9PM.

Jah Movement made their Friday Fest debut last summer and brought with them a record-breaking large audience! Don't miss them this summer as they bring their infectious groove to the Bay for the second year in a row. Winners of Creative Loafing's 2016 'Best Local Reggae Band', Jah Movement brings the individual talents of each band member together creating one truly amazing sound. Highlighting the talented ensemble is vocalist Shantel Norman, hometown hero, who will be celebrating her birthday with this Friday Fest party. Adding their own touch of R&B, soul and funk to some of the best live reggae music, it's always a surprise to see which popular songs they will pull out of the box at the show.

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, take in the music along with the beautiful Sarasota sunset and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors. Friday Fest '17 will take place "rain or shine" and, in the event of inclement weather, will be moved indoors to the Grand Foyer or Main Stage of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Outside food and drink are prohibited; coolers and large umbrellas are also prohibited. Entry to the Friday Fest event is Free!

Co-presenting sponsors of Friday Fest are Gettel Automotive Group and Cool Today; the talent sponsor is BNI Business by the Bay. Additional sponsors include: ABC 7, WSRZ, Budweiser, SRQ Media, Van Wezel Foundation, Mattison's Bayside, and the Herald-Tribune Media Group.
