Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (50 Mark West Spring Road in Santa Rosa) presents the interactive improv show STORY PIRATES, part of the Clover Stornetta Family Fun Series, back by popular demand on Sunday, April 10 at 3:00 pm in the Ruth Finley Person Theatre.

Recommended for all ages, STORY PIRATES is a lively, raucous experience where the audience shouts out ideas to the fast-on-their-feet performers who respond with lightning speed, guaranteeing that every show is unique and different. The April 10 performance by the STORY PIRATES will feature one story written by a local child who will be acknowledged during the show.

Tickets, at $17 Adult, $12 Child and $5 Lap Pass (for Children under 2), are available online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600, or in person at the ticket office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa (open daily, noon to 6 p.m.).

STORY PIRATES celebrates creative writing by students from coast to coast. Using theses stories, the Story Pirates create outlandishly funny sketches and mini-musicals that leave kids and their parents howling in the aisles! In addition to their ever evolving repertoire of stories, the STORY PIRATES will take one story written by a local child, and perform it as part of this April 10 performance at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. The Center is soliciting original stories of any length and on any topic, provided they come from the child's imagination and are written entirely in the child's own words (no edits or corrections from parents). Stories must be submitted by Monday, March 28 by 5:00 pm by sending a message through the Center's Facebook page (facebook.com/lutherburbankcenter) or via e-mail to education@lutherburbankcenter.org. More details on submission requirements, guidelines as well as the winner's prize package can be found at lutherburbankcenter.org/storypirates.

Whether it's following the adventures of a superhero baby, or reminiscing about disposable rain ponchos at a baseball game, the songs and stories explode with the creative energy that only a child could possess. Described as "Monty Python meets Schoolhouse Rock," Story Pirates uses audience participation to create an original story, so this show is never the same twice!

Story Pirates is part of the Clover Stornetta Farms Family Fun Series. Audiences of all ages can arrive early for Free Fun with Art, custom-designed arts & crafts projects for the whole family, the Children's Museum of Sonoma County's "Museum-on-the-Go,"as well as pizza and drinks at the concessions stand, all starting one-hour before the show. Plus, there will be a post-show autograph session with the performers.
