TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the hilarious new play WILD WITH HAPPY written by and starring award-winning playwright Colman Domingo. The production plays previews tonight, June 5 to Friday, June 7, 2013, with a press opening on Saturday, June 8, 2013. WILD WITH HAPPY will close on Sunday, June 30, 2013.

Also an OBIE Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated actor (The Scottsboro Boys, Passing Strange), Domingo stars in this raucous comedy, in which a struggling black actor finds his worlds colliding when his mother dies and he decides to have her cremated. Rejecting normal rituals of grief, he finds himself on a rapturous road trip to the place where she was most happy.

Both outrageously funny and immensely touching, this play was a favorite of the 2011 TheatreWorks New Works Festival. Actor/playwright Colman Domingo has received Lucille Lortel and GLAAD Media Awards as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Audelco Award nominations for playwriting, and an OBIE Award and nominations for Tony and Fred Astaire Awards for his performances.
