THE 39 STEPS, LES MIS, Holly Williams and More Set for White Plains Performing Arts Center, Fall 2013
The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) has announced an exciting Fall season of theatre, comedy and music. All performances are at the White Plains theatre, located on the third level of City Center off Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.
The theatre season begins with THE 39 STEPS, adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan based on the movie of Alfred Hitchcock, licensed by ITV Global Entertainment Limited with an original concept by Nobby Dimon and Simon Corble. Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have THE 39 STEPS, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre! This 2-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of 4), an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance! The play will run from October 11-27, 2013 and will be directed by David Murray Jaffe (director of last season's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST).
Join us in December for the World's Most Beloved Musical, LES MISERABLES with Book by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, Music by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel,LES MISERABLES is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score includes the classic songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Stars," "Bring Him Home," "Do You Hear the People Sing?," "Master of the House" and many more. LES MISERABLES will play December 13-31, 2013 and be directed by WPPAC Producing Artistic Director Jeremy Quinn with musical direction by Stephen Ferri and musical staging by Lexie Fennell Frare.

Since making his debut on The Late Show with David Letterman, Brian has been seen on MTV and Comedy Central. Join us for this live taping of a TV comedy special. There are two opportunities to see this unique, hilarious and most-talked about comic, Brian will be on-stage on September 27 at 8:00pm & 10:00pm.
That's Entertainment- An Evening of Sinatra Part II starring Tony DellaPietro and featuring Devon Yates ('Grizabella' from WPPAC's CATS) and the WPPAC Orchestra (under the musical direction ofStephen Ferri); will play Saturday, September 28 at 8:30pm. Mr. DellaPietro returns to WPPAC after a hugely successful evening last December to once again sing his favorite Rat Pack songs backed by the fabulous WPPAC Orchestra.
