Stories from Tierra Amarilla, Palestine, and around the globe are woven into the fabric of the characters' lives, moving them to question what kind of seeds they are planting, and whether they are feeding the chupacabra.

The chupacabra is a legendary creature rumored to inhabit parts of the Americas. The name comes from the animal's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats.
