Boston IVF and IVF New England, two of the most experienced and progressive fertility centers in the country, will hold a unique LGBT fertility "happy hour" event on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Bella Luna & The Milky Way Lounge in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

Billed as a "LGBT Fertility Fiesta" - this event will offer lesbians, gay men, and transgender people an opportunity to learn more about their family-building options in a casual and fun environment.

Throughout the past two years "fertility parties" have become a successful way for individuals and couples to learn more about their fertility future. Similar Boston IVF/IVF New England events have featured cocktails and appetizers, music, Q&A, and a short presentation by leading fertility experts.

This year, Dr. Samuel Pang of IVF New England will be joined by Dr. Alison Zimon of Boston IVF and Elizabeth Davolos, a financial coordinator - who will be on hand to assist individuals with the complexities of LGBT fertility insurance coverage.

The LGBT Fertility Fiesta will take place on Thursday, May 5th, from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Bella Luna & The Milky Way Lounge on 284 Amory Street in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

"This is the very first Happy Hour event that will cater solely to the LGBT community," said Dr. Samuel Pang, Medical Director at IVF New England. "Our center helped pioneer fertility treatments for lesbians, gay men and transgender people - so it makes sense for us to be the first to host an event such as this," he continued.

"More and more, the LGBT community is becoming empowered by the technologies available today." said Pang. "For transgender men, freezing their eggs is a crucial step towards preserving their fertility - and it's a service we are proud to offer."

"Everyone deserves the right to become a parent."
